5 Beachy Feel Good Books To Read This Summer

picture of a summer straw hat, an open book and a cocktail on a beach

I’m heading off to Cyprus in a few weeks time and I can’t wait! I’m already daydreaming about the gorgeous sandy beach, relaxing by the pool cocktail in hand… and books of course! Because if you can’t read a good book whilst you’re on holiday, what’s the point?

When it comes to reading on holiday, I want a book that mirrors my experience. A book set somewhere sunny, with lovable characters and a light hearted plot. I googled “Beach Reads” recently, and almost every list was full of thrillers- with characters meeting a grisly end in a resort. I don’t know about you, but that’s not my idea of a good book to read on the beach!

So I went off in pursuit of beachy books that are just that- books that give you all the holiday feels, are easy reads and leave you feeling happy and 100% still in holiday mode.

These are my top 5 picks based on story synopsis and reviews!

Beach reads not your thing? How about some Witchy Books instead? or Historical Fiction?

Beach Read- Emily Henry

January and Gus are both writers, but thats where their similiarites end. January is a hopless romantic, whilst Gus is a serious literary sort with no time for whimsical fantasy and daydreams. They each need to write a bestseller by the end of Summer, but they both have a serious case of writers block. Their solution? Each has to write a book in the others genre, and see who gets published first!
